Originally up for the same part on 'Freaks and Geeks', Jason Segel and James Franco were both so impressive that the show split the one character into two. The two actors starred alongside Seth Rogen, Linda Cardellini, Busy Philipps, Martin Starr, John Francis Daley and Samm Levine.
