More than 500 animals are dead due to smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at Plaza Latina Bazaar, a Dallas shopping center, on Jan. 3. Fire officials said the fire ‘did not reach the pet shop’ — but a ‘great deal of smoke did enter’ it.
