San Francisco 49ers rookie Ricky Pearsall was shot during an attempted robbery in San Francisco's Union Square on Aug. 31, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The 49ers said in a statement that Pearsall 'sustained a bullet wound to the chest and is in serious but stable' condition following the incident.
