Newark, N.J. Mayor Ras Baraka Released After Being Arrested by Federal Police at ICE Detention Center

Ras Baraka, mayor of Newark, N.J., was taken into custody outside of a federal immigration detention center on Friday, May 9. Baraka had been protesting the opening of the facility this week, alleging that it was not being run legally. He was released later Friday evening.
