Joël Le Scouarnec, a former surgeon in France, was sentenced to the maximum 20 years in prison in court in Vannes, Brittany, in France on Wednesday, May 28 following a three-month trial where he was tried for sexually assaulting 299 victims between 1989 and 2014.
