Jen Pawol to Make Baseball History as MLB’s First Female Umpire

Jen Pawol will make history as the first female umpire in the MLB, when she works games between the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves on Saturday, Aug. 9, and Sunday, Aug. 10. Pawol, 48, originally from New Jersey, previously worked spring training games in 2024 and earlier this year.
